ALGERIA-GREAT BRITAIN: Messahel receives new UK ambassador to Algeria

The minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel received in Barry Robert Lowen on Thursday, who handed him the printed copies of the credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs taken over by the APS.

ALGERIA: Net concentration of investment in the industrial sector over the first 9 months

ALGIERS- The industry sector recorded a clear concentration of investments declared to the National Agency for Investment Development (ANDI) during the first nine months of 2017, APS told the Director General of this agency, Mr. Abdelkrim Mansouri. By branches of industrial activity, the predominance is recorded in the Steel, Metallic, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Industries (ISMME) with 46% of the total amount of projects registered in the industrial sector, followed by the Chemistry-Rubber-Plastics sector (18%), Agrifood Industry (17%) and Building Materials (9%). For the services sector, investments of around 137.4 billion DA were recorded for 393 projects (10%) and 10,671 jobs to be generated (8.2%).  Read More 

ALGERIA: Automotive mounting: A total of 12 projects to be validated

The Ministry of Industry and Mines has so far received some 36 expressions of interest for the realization of vehicle assembly plants since the introduction of an incentive scheme for dealers to invest in the industry automobile. Batna: Ain Djasser-3 power station delivered "before next February"
